We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Mom and I (with lots of help from Dad!) were able to make some pumpkin pies on Tuesday.  It took a lot of mom's energy!!!  But she really wanted to do something for our Thanksgiving meal.  Our day yesterday was very special.  The meal was great...but love of family was the BEST!
Mom and Dad spent most of the day over at our house today while their cleaning lady was at their house.  It wasn't easy for mom to be here.  But I think it was good for her.  And we loved having her here.  Dad got a chance to go run a few errands.  Mom got to see our kids running around being crazy with their friends.  I even took her on a walk around the block in her wheelchair.  Even our dog, Kodi, loved having here...he curled up at her feet and took a nap.  We are hoping she will make it a weekly visit!
Love to you all.

  1. Good morning Mandy,
It sounds like a perfect Thanksgiving Day , surrounded by love of family and home made pumpkin pies. Thanks for sharing the photo, I love it! I hope you do make it a regular visit to Mandy's house, Kathy.
Although staying in our home is always our comfort zone, it's only when we get outside that we are reminded of the wonderful scent of fresh air, feel the breeze on our face and what about that SUN!! ha. I know that is the time when I feel most aware of God, even if it is a ride around the block in a wheelchair. Celebrate your life, Kathy, YOU ARE ALIVE. God is still performing his miracles and nature constantly reminds us of that. Especially now with the leaves on the trees changing to beautful hues of red. orange and golden yellow, yet, just a few wks ago I was becoming depressed that winter was coming and I would miss all of the green, Until l went for a drive and saw the transition .. (an 'aha" moment if you will) and thought "oh yeah, now I remember how beautiful fall is, it is FAVORITE season of mine as is spring , winter and summer. They are seasons of time, much like our lives and each season brings positives and negatives. I celebrate and rejoice in your good days Kathy and will continue to pray that those days increase as you become stronger and your bad days fall behind you only to become a memory.
    God bless you sis.
    I love you dearly.
